Hair Care - Facts and Techniques You Need to Learn

I started my career as a beautician at seven when I opened my own bedroom salon. I painted nails, braided hair, and I even applied makeup like a pro. You can say that I have always had an interest in beauty, and I naturally attended beauty school immediately after I graduated high school. When the time came to find a job, I started my own salon with a small loan from my mother. I wanted my salon to be special, so I worked with clients to teach them what I knew about hair care techniques. Throughout the years, I have learned that most people know very little about their hair. They believe that the hair needs to be washed every day and they also think that conditioner is enough to treat dry locks. I started this blog so I could educate the public on a larger scale about hair care.

Organic Beauty Products: Why You Should Be Using Them

Beauty & Fashion Blog

If you are interested in living a healthy lifestyle, you likely know about and consume organic food. However, you may not know that today's market has skincare products that you can use to take healthy living to the next level. These are known as organic skincare. All the products in this category, including organic face beauty products like moisturizers, are manufactured using ingredients grown organically without pesticides or other chemicals. If you need convincing to use these beauty products, consider the following:

1.       They are healthier

Choose organic skincare merchandise if you want healthy products that protect, cleanse, and exfoliate your skin. These are free from most hazardous chemicals, including herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers, insecticides, genetically modified organisms (GMOs), and other substances. On the contrary, most conventional cosmetics contain harmful chemicals like coal tar dyes, formaldehyde, butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), and sodium laureth sulfate. When you use a product with any of these, your skin absorbs the chemical. That may allow it to enter your bloodstream and lead to health issues. If you doubt that, consider this: formaldehyde and parabens, among other chemicals, are carcinogens. Still, they are standard features in many skincare products. Therefore, the more you use cosmetics containing these ingredients, the higher your chances of developing cancers and other severe health conditions.

2.       They are gentle on your skin

If you don't know by now, organic skincare products are made using ingredients that meet similar standards to those that apply to organic food. Therefore, they are less likely to harm your skin. But cosmetic products combine chemicals that do you more harm than good. The reason is using them can negatively impact your skin, leading to disorders like irritant contact dermatitis and allergic contact dermatitis. Irritant contact dermatitis often manifests in the form of facial itch and rashes. On the other hand, if you notice symptoms like redness, blistering, itchiness, and swelling after using a cosmetic, you likely have allergic contact dermatitis.

3.       They have less impact on the environment

Start using organic skincare products if you want to aid environmental conservation efforts. That is highly advisable because organic skincare cuts reliance on dangerous synthetic fertilizers and chemicals. Many cosmetic products contain toxic chemicals that often find their way into water bodies and the soil. That, in turn, leads to extensive wildlife and natural habitat destruction. One way to make a positive environmental impact while simultaneously improving your skin's condition is by using organic beauty products.
